Even though I posted this at the bottom of my first post, I thought it might be best to post it on it’s own for easy reference. So, here it is.
NSFW is an acronym for Not Safe For Work.
You will see this most frequently in the subject lines of e-mails. You may also see SFW. This would most typically be seen in an instant message. Someone may send you a link and you may want to send back a quick “SFW?” prior to checking it. I mean, who wants to open a link to a bunch of dudes’ weiners when your small kids are playing legos behind you or your boss could walk in at any moment?
